Fatman

Univeristy work. This was a workshop where we developed our own typeface and promotional material.
This is my first typeface designed during my last year at Middlesex University in London.
The typeface is based on the nuclear bomb dropped on Nagasaki, Japan by the United States. The promotional A2 poster portrays the United States as the Fatman holding the bomb.

The flyer was printed and displayed at Middlesex Univeristy Art and Design Degreeshow in May 2010 at the Old Truman Brewerey in Brick Lane, London.

In 2008 I worked at the finn-swedish newspaper Studentbaldet. It’s distributed in Finland to all swedish speaking finns studying at any swedish speaking university in Finland.
Each issue of the paper is printed in about 13 000 copies and there are 15 issues per year. The newspaper comes out once a month during the finnish school year.
This newspaper is published on a very limited budget.

I designed the annual calendar in 2008 produced by Arcada and ASK. The calender is printed in 2 000 copies and handed out to all students and teachers at Arcada – University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland.
